Author Guidelines
Manuscript Submission
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS) of the International Journal of Language and Teaching (IJOLATE).
- The manuscript should be written in English and prepared using the provided IJOLATE Template (Microsoft Word format).
- Only original and unpublished manuscripts will be considered. Manuscripts under review elsewhere will not be accepted.
Manuscript Structure
The manuscript must follow this structure and formatting:
- Title (maximum 15 words, Candara 14 pt, bold, centered)
- Author(s) Name and Affiliation(s) (full name, institution, country, corresponding author with email)
- Abstract (150–250 words, Candara 10 pt, justified)
- Keywords (3–5 keywords separated by commas)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgment (if applicable)
- References (APA 7th edition style)
Formatting Requirements
- Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)
- Margins: Top 2.5 cm, Bottom 2.5 cm, Left 3 cm, Right 2.5 cm
- Font: Candara
- Font size: 11 pt for body text, 12 pt for headings
- Spacing: Single (1.0)
- Paragraph alignment: Justified
- Indentation: First line 1.27 cm
- Figures and Tables:
- Must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
- Titles above tables and below figures, Candara 11 pt, centered.
- Images in JPEG or PNG format, minimum 300 dpi.
References
- Follow the APA 7th Edition reference style.
- Use hanging indent (0.5 inch).
- Ensure all sources cited in the text are listed in the reference section and vice versa.
- Example:
- Brown, H. D. (2020). Principles of language learning and teaching (7th ed.). Pearson.
- Richards, J. C. (2018). The role of feedback in language learning. In R. Schmidt (Ed.), Language teaching strategies (pp. 45–67). Oxford University Press.
Plagiarism Policy
- All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software.
- The similarity index must not exceed 15% (excluding references).
Review Process
- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review
- Authors will receive feedback from reviewers and may be asked to revise their manuscript accordingly.
Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)
- By submitting a manuscript, authors grant IJOLATE the right to publish and distribute it electronically and in print.
Publication Ethics
IJOLATE adheres to the ethical standards of publication set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Authors are expected to ensure honesty, transparency, and integrity in research and publication.
