Focus and Scope
International Journal of Language and Teaching (IJoLaTe) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Corolla Education Centre Foundation, Indonesia. Its primary objective is to disseminate scholarly information on research and development in English Language Teaching (ELT), covering a wide range of topics related to language instruction, curriculum development, teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and the integration of technology in language learning. The journal welcomes original research, theoretical studies, and best practices in ELT across different educational levels, from elementary to higher education to bridge between theory and practice. The journal welcomes year-round submissions and contributions that address researchers' and practitioners' common professional concerns. It is published biannually—on April and October
IJoLaTe welcomes submissions on the following areas of inquiry and development in EFL/ESL/ELT:
- Language Teaching and Learning – Innovations in pedagogy, second language acquisition, and classroom practices.
- Curriculum and Materials Development – Syllabus design, textbook evaluation, instructional resources.
- Assessment and Evaluation – Formative and summative assessment, feedback strategies, and language testing.
- Educational Technology in ELT – Online learning, digital tools, AI in language instruction.
- Teacher Professional Development – Teacher training, reflective practice, pedagogical strategies.
The journal accepts empirical research (both qualitative and quantitative), conceptual papers, and systematic literature reviews that contribute to the advancement of ELT. Papers should align with current trends and challenges in English language education, offering valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers.
